Near Field Communication

iPhone RFID: object-based media from timo on Vimeo. This is a really interesting technology called Near Field Communication (NFC). Nearfield are exploring the use of NFC, "a technology that enables connections between mobile phones and physical things." There are some really exciting oppurtunities for this product, especially on the iPhone.

I particularly like the Star Wars clip that appears over R2D2. The nerd in me is easily excited.
