Hackney Hear: GPS Triggered Audio Tour
Hackney Hear uses the GPS on your smartphone to guide you on an audio tour of the Olympic borough of Hackney. As you walk around the area your movements trigger different audio clips relative to your location. The clips include music, poetry, and stories from famous Hackney artists and business men such as Alan Sugar and Michael Rosen, as well as interviews from the community.
It's a great example of using technology to bring culture outside the walls of museums and onto the streets. The app will be launched closer to the Olympic games when Hackney will be under the full glare of the media.
