Merrick is a mutated IKEA lamp designed by Daan van den Berg. The lamp was created by hacking into the IKEA website where the CAD files for all IKEA products are stored and downloaded, infecting one of the CAD lamp files with a virus, and printing the resulting design with a 3D printer.
This project is a great example of how digital code can extend into the real world with interesting results.
