Back in December I wrote a short piece about Google Goggles, Google's visual search engine for Android phones. The software has just been upgraded to include a translation tool that can recognise a language from a photograph and translate it. The languages supported so far are English, French, Italian, German and Spanish with plans to extend it in the future. So the confusion of foreign menus or roadsigns could become a thing of the past.
