Glue London Green Party Case Study

If you haven't heard of him or read his excellent blog, Dom O'Brien is Head of Emerging Technology at Glue London. Today he posted a long and detailed description of how they pulled off their latest campaign for the Green Party. If you work in advertising or you're just into the whole social media / technology side of things, it's well worth a read.

It's great to see a big successful agency like Glue share their work and process online. I respect them for it. So much has been said about the power of sharing but most of the big ad agencies talk about, few embrace it.

The campaign itself looks like it could really work. I like the simple info graphic feel to the TV and print. The imagery is simple , clever and thankfully lacking a politician. I texted "green" as instructed but unfortunately it doesn't work in Ireland (i probably should have figured that out for myself).

On a side note. The piece mentions they used Grapple  to create cross platform mobile applications. This means they create 1 application and that works across all the smart phones, not just the iPhone. I think this is the first company to do this. From my experience of having to cost up separately for each mobile brand, this company could be a life-saver.

Back to the Green Party piece, here is some of the work if you don't have a chance to read Dom's piece:
