Welcome to the second installment of "Friday Goodness" (that's copyrighted by the way). Continuing on the now established theme of copyright I'll begin the show and tell with a book I just finished reading.
Free Culture by Lawerence Lessig is a book about copyright law and the internet. If this hadn't been recommended to me by a friend I probably wouldn't have bothered reading it, but I'm glad I did. Some of the law terminology threw me but the argument for loosening the restrictions of our copyright laws to promote a free culture is brilliantly presented and written.
Magculture.com. Being obsessed with magazines how could I not love this. A blog about all things great in the world of editorial design. It's written by Jeremy (surname unknown), who writes a column for Creative Review and a judge at this years D&AD's. It's very nice.
The Creative Review Annual is out this week. Every year the "A" is treated differently. This year is particularly cool. The "A" was grown in an immunology lab, using pollen cells. Here's more information on how they did it. Oh and the inside looks good too.
Temper Trap - Sweet Disposition (Directors Cut HD) from Daniel Eskils on Vimeo. Great song and great video. It was directed by Partizan director Daniel Eskills who has some other great work on his reel.
And finally an image I liked:
