Cause it's Christmas

I've known for quite some time that I have an addictive personality. Thankfully this doesn't translate into me lying in a pool of my own vomit with a needle in my arm. Instead my inner addict latches onto healthier alternatives (if you consider tweeting healthy).

So in homage to all the end of 2010 posts I've been reading I'll share with you some of my addictions from this year.

Addiction number 1: Personal Training

In February after a Christmas of singledom and alcohol I decided to sign up for personal training. But everyone does it Ciaran, that's nothing special. This is where the addict manifested itself. Within a week I was chanting "Bread is Dead", I'd denounced meat and alcohol as the devil and spent the majority of my week doing this:

Addiction number 2: Madmen

Then around June of this year I innocently picked up a copy of Madmen series 1. And so began obsession number 2. I love this show. So much so that I threw out most of my t-shirts from Threadless and invested in some new shirts and a suit. I walked into my hairdresser and asked if they knew who Don Draper was. She did. Now I have his hair.

Addiction number 3: T'internet

When I started this blog a year ago I linked from a grand total of 3 websites. But then those lovely little things called links brought me deeper into the online world. Now every morning I'm greeted with 1000+ links on my google reader. If you're not using Reader then you need to get it straight away. Believe me it will change everything. If anything this is now my greatest addiction.

And so in the spirit of Christmas and For Me & You here are some of the results of my internet addiction:

The brilliant ffffound. Dom O'Briens blog, BBH labs, The Glue Pot, Swissmiss, Crackunit, NinjaVsPenguin, alotofpixel, Lifeinthemiddle, CR Blog, Abstract City, The Satorialist, Lifehacker, Booooooom!, Boing Boing, Wired.

I'll end with a big thank you to everyone who's sent me links and followed the blog. Have a great Christmas and New Year. See you in 2010.
